Ranthambore National Park is one of the largest national parks in Northern India, located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan. Back then Ranthambore forest was the private hunting reserves of the Maharaja of Jaipur. The sanctuary establishes in the year 1955 by the Indian government & was declared as project tiger reserves in the year 1973. It acknowledged national park in the year 1980 & later in the year 1991 the Ranthambore tiger reserve was enlarged after inclusion of kela Devi sanctuary.
The National Park is open from 15th March – 14th October between 8.30 am to 5.30 pm and from 15th October – 14th March between 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. It is closed on Wednesday so make sure you plan your visit accordingly.
